Business Systems Analyst- Application Engineering Job Summary- This staff position is a member of Sales Operations, a unit of Worldwide Sales and Service. The person in this position will be primarily responsible as an advocate for the development of effective internal business applications to meet the needs of the field engineering organization (known internally as Application Engineering or “AEG”).  This position will work with the Application Engineering staff and management to understand the group’s workflow and application needs.    Job Responsibilities- Business Systems Analysis- This position is the primary interface between AEG and both internal information technology and business applications groups.  Primary responsibility is to propose, define, and support the implementation of business system requirements while managing system projects towards successful implementation. Keeping track of and reporting on projects is essential. Position will become the subject matter expert in all areas of internal business applications relating to AEG.  Success in this role requires the ability to develop an understanding of the key workflow and day-to-day operations of the AE Group and the ability to translate this understanding into recommended system improvements.  It is expected that Business Systems Analysis is 80% of this position. Other responsibilities involve the creation and maintenance of key departmental reports and metrics, management of key depart data, and other related operational duties. Qualifications Candidates must have completed an undergraduate degree program from an accredited university where academic work can be leveraged towards success in this position. Direct experience performing in a similar role for 3-5 years is desired. This role requires strong organizational and communications skills. Direct experience as a Business Systems Analyst in a technology setting is strongly desired.  The ability to manage complex processes is essential. Creativity and a willingness to expand the responsibilities of this role is a plus.
