POSITION: Business Systems Analyst

REPORTS TO: Sun Chan Moon, Corporate Director, I.T.

DEPARTMENT:  I.T.

HOURS:   8:00 AM – 5:00 PM and as necessary  

SALARY:  Exempt – Hiring Range $45,500 - $50,000

 OVERALL JOB PURPOSE: The Business Systems Analyst works with internal clients to overcome their business and I.T. challenges through the application of process design and technology.  This position is also responsible for implementing IT solutions to improve business efficiency, productivity and to support the strategic direction of Brady Industries.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Maintains current IT infrastructure and aids in implementing new solutions.  Creates and automates reports for all Brady locations.  Performs ad-hoc reporting to meet business needs.  Analyzes problems and makes recommendations to Corporate Director I.T. for resolution.  Keeps up-to-date with technical as well as industry sector developments.  Presents solutions in written or oral reports.  Responsible for various project planning and completion, with more than 1 project at a time.  Communicates effectively all risk, issues and corrective recommendations to senior management when projects start to lose momentum toward achieving stated objectives. Promotes appropriate applications of computer technology.  Is responsible for client/customer satisfaction.

 

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Degree in Business or I.T. related field required

 

Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience in business technology roles with increased responsibilities. Previous experience with Crystal Reports, desktop and network support, data analysis, building business reports, process analysis and design skills required. 

 

Abilities: Advanced knowledge of MS SQL 2000/2005, Excel and MS Office required.  Strong communication skills both verbal and written as well as presentation skills required.  Strong leadership skills, time management skills and organizational skills required.  Must possess a logical approach to problem solving, excellent interpersonal skills and client relationship skills.  Must possess an inquisitive and investigative mind and have the ability to learn quickly, be flexible and contribute to a team effort.  Must possess strong business acumen.
