We are looking for a qualified candidates who enjoy interacting with clients to be practioners on our electronic trading systems engagements. Our engagements range from business analysis to design and development to quality assurance and certification, and provide an opportunity to work with the top financial services companies in the world. Strong candidates will eventually become leaders in our quickly growing practice.
The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
· Develops and recommends solutions based on customer needs across full lifecycle delivery: analysis, design, development, testing and deployment.
· Proactively identify business and technology inefficiencies from the quality assurance technique or process viewpoint, and proposes changes that may include process redesign and tool recommendations.
· Translates business requirements into technical quality assurance test cases.
· Evaluates system requirements, process flows and use cases.
· Coordinates and facilitates user acceptance testing.
· Able to decipher specific documentation (including use case diagrams and definitions, database models, screen mockups, data dictionary, etc.)
· Creates, executes, and tracks test cases based on use case definitions.
· Develops system and user acceptance test plans, test cases, regression tests, and ensuring the overall quality of the product.
Minimum Qualifications:
· 1 year as a software developer (Java, C#, VB) or in a technical role
· Understands client needs, identifies root causes of problems, and develops and implements creative and pragmatic solutions. Expert problem-solver - Sorts through complex issues and conducts comparative analysis of multiple solutions.
· Makes compelling presentations to a variety of audiences using visual aids, slide shows, and other media. Is adept at getting the attention and involvement of the most sophisticated and difficult audiences.
· Sets a comfortable tone, communicates effectively and encourages open communication.
· Working knowledge of the Capital Markets industry segment, specifically around electronic trading.
· Experience coordinating software testing efforts and communicating issues and status to management.
· Knowledge of software development life cycle, automated analysis, QA cycle and modeling tools desired.
· Experience with MS Word, Excel, Visio.
· Experience with relational databases like Oracle, SQL Server, Sybase and DB2.
· BA or BS degree in CS, MIS, Computer Information Systems, or a related field required.
Some travel required.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
· Ability to effectively work with various customer management levels and end-users with varying technical abilities.
· Ability to work in a fast paced environment; to be flexible and learn quickly.
· Ability to multi-task with attention to detail/ prioritize tasks.
· Light programming skills in XML, SQL, Java, Visual Basic are a definite plus
· Committed team player who can function independently.
· Ability to develop rapport with client management and maintain strong working relationships.
· Familiarity with FIX protocol variations, FIX Servers, and Order Management System concepts
Education:
· Degree in Computer Science preferred
