Summary:

We are looking for a Network Engineer with 5+ years hands on experience in networking, including installation, administration, support, maintenance and troubleshooting of Ethernet based, multi-protocol networks in both corporate and production LAN/WAN environments in excess of 1,000 nodes, including both Unix and Windows environments.

Responsibilities:

Support administration, maintenance, implementation and troubleshooting of Enterprise Network nodes and LAN/WAN devices (switches, routers, firewalls, local directors, content switches and troubleshooting tools such as Distributed Sniffers, Cisco Works, ACS and SNMP monitoring tools, VLANS and VPN’s with RSA). Execute and implement routine network changes following departmental procedures, which include configuration of network switches, routers, firewalls and load balancers. Promptly provide tier 1 and 2 troubleshooting to resolve any emergencies. Demonstrate good communications and soft skills in a team environment with an ability to approach tasks and activities in a logical and timely fashion. Support responsibilities will before Intuit data center and internal networks. This position will require on-call availability.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

*Installs, configures, maintains, and monitors local and wide area network hardware and software.
*Ability to design, configure, maintain, and monitor MPLS, Frame Relay and VPN connections to remote sites.
*Demonstrate knowledge of Thin Client, TCP/IP, IPSEC, SSL, SSH, RDP and VPN protocols required.
*Provide outsourcing solutions for application development and contact centers.
*Capable of designing solutions to improve network security, auditing,, performance and policy enforcement.
*Ability to provide network services solutions for: DNS, SMTP, SNMP, and NTP.
*Demonstrated proficiency in network security and the preparation and implementation of disaster recovery plan pursuant to level of risk as agreed upon by Intuit.
*Capable of Installation, maintenance, and monitoring corporate wide network backup software systems, including SAN technology.
*Continues education/training necessary to maintain proficiency in performance of job responsibilities


Qualifications:

Hands on experience with administration and troubleshooting of non-heterogeneous routers and layer 2 & 3 switches, Juniper Netscreen, Checkpoint and PIX Firewalls, Server Load Balancers (Foundry, Cisco CSS), and Network Sniffer products in a complex network environment. SSL accelerators, Nortel Connectivity VPN, Juniper routers, wireless and multicast experience would be beneficial. Excellent documentation skills (Visio, etc) are a must. Good UNIX and Windows knowledge is a plus. Expert understanding of TCP/IP networking and routing, VLANs, VLAN trunking, ACLs, VPN, HSRP, firewalls, IPSEC and network load balancers is required. Expert knowledge of Network Protocols including: TCP/IP, Net BIOS, Bridging, and Routing Protocols: EIGRP, OSPF, and BGP, is also necessary.

Requirements:

*Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or documented equivalent experience.

*CCIE passed written required.

*Expert in troubleshooting network problems.

*Thorough understanding of job escalation and change management.

*5 + years of proven network computing experience.

*Successful track record working in a team environment, good communications and time management skills and someone who is not afraid to get their hands dirty in a fast paced e-Commerce production environment.
