Job Description:

CMPMedica’s IT Team has an immediate opening for a Desktop Support Analyst in our Jersey City, NJ headquarters.  This person will provide first and second line support for about 60 users as well as an extended remote user community.

 

Responsibilities:

· Provide direct hands on support to users who are experiencing desktop operating system, connectivity and application issues.

· Perform hardware diagnostics and coordinate repairs.

· Participate in planning, scheduling, and executing computer equipment installations, upgrades and replacement projects.

· Windows 2003 user management, MS Office support, and printer management.

· Provides suggestions and recommendations of new network and system services.

· Some travel may be required.

Qualifications:

· Associate’s degree in computer science or equivalent work experience.

· 1-3 years of desktop support and experience in a professional environment.

· Knowledge of Citrix and MS Active Directory preferred.

· Must effectively interface with many people on a daily basis.

· Excellent ability to diagnose and resolve both hardware and software issues over the phone and at the desktop.

· Must be able to work independently, take initiative, with little supervision.

· Good organization, planning, and written skills are required.

· Need to be able to handle multiple requests quickly and professionally.

· Fluent with MS Office and Windows 2003
