COMPUTATIONAL CHEMIST

 

 

Primary Job Function:
As part of a BlackLight Power, Inc. subsidiary working on new and challenging innovations in an entrepreneurial environment, the successful candidate’s primary focus will be applying a novel molecular modeling technology to develop new computational methods to support the development of our modeling software platform.

 

Key Success Factors:
PhD in physical chemistry or computational chemistry with demonstrated experience in the development of computational methods for molecular modeling.


Specific knowledge of any of the following areas is less critical than exceptional intellectual ability and a demonstrated track record of achievement: Algorithm development and implementation for structural molecular modeling, molecular mechanics and molecular dynamics simulation, molecule design, and/or bioinformatics. Knowledge of scripting languages is a plus. Must work effectively both independently and within a research team; must possess strong problem-solving, organization, communication (written and verbal) skills.
