COMPUTER PROGRAMMER

XpressCredit (N. Syracuse, NY) is a rapidly growing provider of an internet-based software solution for automobile and powersport dealers, who utilize our software to link with financial institutions to facilitate consumer financing.  XpressCredit seeks an experienced Computer Programmer skilled in ASP and VB.net to join our team.  The position involves coding to specification for enhancements, new applications and providing maintenance support for existing products.

 

RESPONSBILITIES:

· Review and modify documents for design, coding and testing time.

· Design user interfaces, printed outputs, and data exchange interfaces.  Compiles code into programs and corrects errors detected in compile process.  Creates test scripts, runs tests to find errors, analyzes code to find causes of errors and revises programs with corrections.  Confirm program meets specifications.

· Provides technical assistance by responding to inquiries regarding errors, problems, or questions with the application.

· Writes and maintains technical specifications.  Converts designs and specifications into computer code. 

· Converts project specifications and statements of problems and procedures to detailed logical flow charts for coding into computer language.  Develop and write computer programs to store, locate, and retrieve specific documents, data, and information.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

· Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field

· 3-5 Years Related Experience

· Excellent working knowledge with Microsoft application development technologies, specifically Visual Basic .NET (Windows and ASP.NET apps), COM and ActiveX component development, XML, XSLT, HTML, JavaScript, IIS

· ASP.NET, VB.NET

· SQL Server databases, SQL, ADO

· MS Word, MS Excel, MS Exchange

· Networking/LANs, TCP/IP protocol
