CREATIVE TECHNICAL RECRUITER

Position Summary:  The person in this position will work closely with the Human Resources Manager and Site Leaders to develop and execute strategies to identify, attract, hire and retain candidates for the company’s computer software professional positions.  Additionally, the person will be responsible for identifying and attending the appropriate college career fairs, professional organization career fairs, and other events that may be appropriate recruiting venues. 

Duties and Responsibilities:  The candidate selected for this position will be responsible for: establishing and maintaining a working relationship with the hiring managers and senior management at the company for the purpose of assessing the recruiting needs of each group within the organization; developing and implementing a sourcing strategy to include but not be limited to, the use of on-line job boards; employee referral plan; college recruiting; professional organization conferences that can be used as recruiting venues, and industry career fairs; facilitating the interviewing of candidates; acting as the liaison with head-hunters and temporary agencies; and completing and submitting a weekly report on recruiting-related activities.  In conjunction with this, the recruiter will work with senior managers in developing the company’s advertising strategy as it relates to recruiting.  This would include, but not be limited to; developing job placement ads, publication advertisements, banner ads, and other public advertisements.  The recruiter will also be responsible for interacting with candidates through all stages of the recruiting process; managing the recruiting pipeline; and maintaining the applicant tracking system.

 

Education and Experience:  Bachelors degree (preferably in Human Resources or closely related field) plus a minimum of five years experience as a technical recruiter.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:  Strong interpersonal skills to include; active listening, oral communication, service orientation, and negotiation are required; as is the ability to relate to individuals at all skill levels.  This is a team environment so the person must be able to interact internally with all levels of staff.   Creativity is a must.  Multi-tasking capabilities; the ability to work with minimal supervision; attention to detail; strong writing skills; and proficiency in Microsoft Office products are also required.
