NAVTEQ is the leading provider of digital map data for Vehicle Navigation, Internet & Wireless applications and Business Solutions. Cutting edge applications such as these are part of a growing set of applications that enhance consumer's access to information while they are mobile. We have coined the term informed mobility' to represent this emerging need.  NAVTEQ data is used in virtually all of the leading navigation systems in both North America and Europe. Our customers rely on NAVTEQ digital map information for use in their applications based on its accuracy, detail and completeness.  We are currently looking for a Channel Marketing Manager - 8373 (Vehicle) in Chicago, IL. Summary:The Channel Marketing Manager is responsible for strategic and tactical marketing activities focused on NAVTEQ’s Take Rate Improvement (TRIP) programs.  These activities are focused on NAVTEQ’s relationships and programs with automotive companies and dealers focused on driving sales of automobiles with navigation systems either factory-installed or aftermarket systems. Responsibilities: • Lead strategy and initiatives targeted to drive in-vehicle navigation sales. • Define and articulate means to improve take rates (rates of adoption by automotive make and model), including dealer training, new model launch point of sale materials, incentive programs, trade show support, etc.  This requires working with Account Executives to devise an account by account strategy for increasing yield and also working with Automotive and system vendor customers to execute programs.• Create customer specific presentations to educate Automotive customers and system vendors as to the best brand/product mix for navigation (adoption on all vehicle trim levels or making navigation a standard feature on a vehicle) and assist Account Executives in presenting these compelling stories to the appropriate Automotive customers and system vendors. • Build and foster strong relationships with Automotive and system vendor customers at multiple levels within their organization (sales/marketing/product planning) helping to establish NAVTEQ as a value-added Channel Sales Partner.  Act in a consultative role to help them drive future product discussions, optimal navigation adoption and improve overall customer satisfaction.• Responsible for maintaining automotive competitive intelligence and developing research to share with Automotive and system vendor customers.• Responsible for leading team of 2-3 Channel Marketing Specialists to support these initiatives.  Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field.  MBA Preferred • Ideal candidate must have an understanding of the automotive industry and marketing experience dealing with OEM customers’ requirements • Ability to effectively listen and capture customer needs• Five years experience in fast moving Business-to-Business and or Business-to-Consumer marketing, product management or sales role, preferably technology, software or database-related • History of working directly with customers on a frequent basis; Ability to create presentations, spreadsheets and supporting documentation required• Five years experience in marketing, preferably automotive, software or database-related • Excellent communication, adaptability and teamwork skills are important to success in this role.• Ability to successfully manage competing priorities and projects with minimal supervision• Must have the ability to travel frequently To submit a resume for immediate consideration, qualified applicants may e-mail resumes to careers-corp6@navteq.com and reference requisition number 8373. NAVTEQ is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer M/F/D/V JOB TITLE: Channel Marketing Manager (8373) - Growing Technology Company COMPANY: NAVTEQ LOCATION: Chicago, IL 60606 STATUS: Full Time, Employee JOB CATEGORY: Marketing/Product RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE: 5+ to 7 Years CAREER LEVEL: Manager (Manager/Supervisor of Staff) EDUCATION LEVEL: Bachelor's Degree EMAIL: Apply by Email REFERENCE CODE: 8373
