Job Summary:


Responsible for monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets in a designate region of the United States and/or Canada.  This includes forecasting to Regional Director and VP of Sales.

 

· Learn and maintain in-depth knowledge of Websense products and technologies, competitive products and industry trends.

· Develop in-territory partners by assisting with certification requirements and sales and product training. 

· Accept inbound and perform outbound telephone calls from/to end users and reseller partners to identify sales opportunities. Utilizes a consultative selling approach to educate end users and partners.

 

 

Essential Functions:

Pro-actively interfaces with prospects and reseller partners on a daily basis via telephone and email to provide assistance and support the closure of revenue opportunities.

 

· Drives the sale process by providing and/or coordinating appropriate resources for partner generation and management of leads.

· Assist partners with questions and develop relationship with territory partners as a “trusted advisor�.

· Manage product demonstrations to prospects and partners

· Manages contact database with continuous updates as required

· Meet or exceeds quota

· Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

Education: Four year degree required – business, marketing or IT preferred. Experience: 3 + years or more in selling business to business, 2 years of related experience in a high tech software company preferably within a two tier distribution environment. Knowledge of sales of software or computer related products with emphasis on web infrastructure security and content control.Strong prospecting, phone and communication skills mandatory. As well as skills in time management and organization. Ability to close business while achieving a high level of customer and partner satisfaction.
