Cisco Network Engineer

Richard Fleischman & Associates, a growing consulting firm servicing hedge fund clients has a permament position for a Cisco Network Engineer in Purchase, NY. This position is a Tues-Sat 1:30PM-10:30PM shift. Initially this position will require to be in our NYC headquarters but the opportunity is based in Purchase, NY.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:


To ensure that client network infrastructure is functioning efficiently including verification of security principles designed by RFA and industry standard best practices is adhered to. Assist is ongoing client site support including maintenance, projects and daily repair.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Configuring and troubleshooting of network hardware including Cisco switches, routers, Cisco ASA/PIX firewalls, and VPN concentrators
2. Provide level 1-2 network support for routing, switching, firewall, and VPN issues
3. Circuit turn-ups and routing protocol configuration, including BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, TCP/IP
4. VPN configuration and troubleshooting (hardware, software VPN, SSL VPN, WebVPN, etc.)
5. Create, maintain, and update network support documentation and procedures including Visio diagrams
6. Configure firewall technologies and policies
7. Configure wireless security devices
8. Maintain network and security management applications
9. Evaluate and monitor network performance using network management tools and packet analyzers
10. Various security vulnerability scanning, penetration and audit assessment tools including protocol analysis applications

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. An associate's degree in computer science.
2. CCNA/CCNP or equivalent skills
3. 3 plus years of general networking experience with Cisco routers, switches, Cisco PIX/ASA firewalls, VPN concentrators
4. Excellent organizational and communication Skills
