Clinical Data Specialist

Banner Health, Arizona's largest healthcare provider, has a full-time opportunity for a Clinical Data Specialist. Banner Health has over 20 facilities in seven states and employs 26,000 employees. This position will be located in Phoenix, Arizona, at the Banner Health Corporate Center. The Clinical Data Specialist will measure clinical outcomes at the System level for all Banner facilities. Complex analyses will be run against System-wide databases to drive decision support and quality improvement. The running of advanced queries, report production and data analysis are a few of the core responsibilities to this position. The Clinical Data Specialist will also provide System-wide analyses to senior leadership that monitors performance, recommend changes and helps to evaluate new programs. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Bio-statistics (or Statistics) and Epidemiology is preferred Working knowledge of select computer programs for database mgmt. and analysis of clinical data Demonstrated working knowledge of PC: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other computer applications Experience in a healthcare setting involving healthcare processes, knowledge of technical applications such as SQL, TSI, SAS and web-based data applications is preferred Strong quantitative and qualitative skills Strong organization, written and verbal communication, quantitative, research and analytical skills Programming abilities in SAS are preferred Banner Health has all of the benefits that come from working with a large healthcare system like tuition reimbursement, growth opportunities and other benefits.
