Cobol Programmer

Our client has been a leader in the Oil & Gas industry for over thirty-five years, with a focus on drilling, completing and operating wells in the U.S. South Central and Gulf Coast region. Operational growth has created the need for an additional Cobol Programmer to support their internal Information Technology department.

 

The right candidate will be located or will relocate to the Shreveport, Louisiana area, and will be offered a competitive salary as well as full company paid benefits including health, dental, vision, life, long term disability insurance plus 401K matching and annual bonus opportunities. An additional relocation expense package is available.

You will be responsible for the maintenance and upgrading of legacy applications as well as integrating new software applications into the existing IT infrastructure.5+ years of experience with RM Cobol in a Windows environment, MS SQL access from RM Cobol, Web enabling of RM Cobol applications, performance and tuning of applications, and development of Windows interfaces with RM CobolExcellent verbal and written communication skillsPrevious experience with oil & gas industry applications and/or account application software is a plus!
