Functions & Responsibilities: Interaction with the business and documentation of business requirements Analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment of Cognos reports/cubes Organize and prioritize work orders to successfully support end users with systems issues and enhancements Assess viability of current software/hardware environment and make recommendations accordingly Provide training and documentation for implementations when required Design and administration of security Manage process reboots, data source modifications, and perform upgrades as necessary Fine tune and troubleshoot Cognos related issues Create and execute test plans/scripts to find errors and confirm reports/cubes meet specifications

Experience Requirements: Five years development experience using Cognos BI Reporting Tools (Version 7: Reportnet, Powerplay, Transfomer, Access Manager; highly desirable: Version 8: Framework Manager, Report Studio, Query Studio) Strong knowledge of ‘Systems Development Life Cycle’ Advanced Structured Query Language (SQL) programming experience Experienced in using OLAP, data modeling, data extraction, transformation, loading and replication tools for business intelligence
