Cold Fusion Developer (junior-mid level)

Join a team of developers that work on a variety of software

Create user information solutions by developing, implementing, and
maintaining Internet/intranet applications; using ColdFusion and
other server technology.

Duties:
 
* Defining site objectives by analyzing user requirements;
envisioning system features and functionality.

* Designing and developing user interfaces to Internet/intranet
applications throughout development life cycle; determining design
methodologies and tool sets; completing programming; designing and
conducting tests.

* Recommend system solutions by comparing advantages and
disadvantages of custom development and purchase alternatives.
 
* Integrate applications by designing database architecture and
server scripting; studying and establishing connectivity with network
systems, search engines, and information servers.
 
* Support users by developing documentation and assistance tools.

* Update job knowledge by researching new internet/intranet
technologies and software products; participating in educational
opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining
personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

* Enhance organization reputation by accepting ownership for
accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to
add value to job accomplishments.

* Support and develop web application developers by providing
advice, coaching, and educational opportunities.

Skills/Qualifications:
 
* Candidate should have experience developing web
applications using a scripting language like ColdFusion, PHP or ASP
 
* Experience writing SQL statements to query Oracle and SQL Server
databases
 
* Must have proven skills writing Javascript functions
 
* Should be comfortable with Agile software development
methodologies
 
* Must be able to communicate clearly in English, both orally and
in writing
 
* Experience navigating and updating the HTML Document Object Model
using client side scripting and AJAX is a plus
 
* Graphic design skills and experience with user interface design
would be an asset
 
* Must have examples of previous work and be able to describe role
in developing the software listed in portfolio
 
* Ideal candidate will possess college degree, current or recent
professional certifications and be able to show a commitment to life-
long learning
