ColdFusion Developer

We have multiple openings for Junior-Senior level ColdFusion Developers.

 

Candidate for the web developer position will need to be extremely motivated and able to provide our customer with a broad range of programming solutions. The position will require new software design and development, as well as maintaining custom designed systems. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing and developing web sites from the ground up using a variety of programming languages, content management tools and databases; be able to understand business needs and translate those needs to written functional requirements and specifications; work with analysts and end-users. They will be a part of a highly successful team that delivers high quality products on time within a CMMI level 3 environment. Efforts will be focused on development of a user-friendly internal intranet site.

Requirements

· 2+ years solid development of web sites from the ground up

· Experience programming with basic HTML, including the creation of web graphics, utilization of page layout techniques and page navigation.

· Experience programming with front end languages such as ASP.Net, JSP, etc.

· Advanced proficiency with standard office and web development software including Microsoft Office, Visio, and a variety of HTML editors.

· Experience in analyzing and documenting business processes and user requirements

· Experience in developing high-quality project documentation to include software development plans, status reports, meeting notes, and other system documentation. Participate in peer reviews for software code and documentation.

· Strong problem-solving skills, an investigative mentality, and a capacity for strategic and associative thinking.

· Relational database experience, including strong SQL skills

· Excellent customer service orientation

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact positively with others and work well individually or in a team environment

· Strong knowledge and understanding of web application architecture and concepts

· Innovative - able to creatively and effectively solve problems, able to think quickly

· Demonstrated experience interpreting requirements documentation and discerning requirements from clients

· Knowledge of Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

· Self-starter - able to take initiative, manage own workload, and meet very aggressive deadlines

· Bachelors Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field required.

· Experience with ColdFusion MX7 a plus

· Experience with relational databases creating tables, functions, procedures, triggers

· Experience with information architecture practices such as process flow diagrams and use cases a plus.

· Understanding of Capability Maturity Model (CMM) software engineering principles a plus.
