Position Description:

The company designs, develops, and supports a comprehensive suite of information products for hospitals and laboratories that include laboratory, radiology, and pharmacy systems. Sunquest uses open systems that are scalable to any size hospital or healthcare network. Sunquest's professional services division provides a wide array of management and technical tools, including lab redesign and optimization, outreach and lab network program development, and operational business and implementation plans in addition to HIPAA compliance assessment and implementation services.We are seeking a Collections Specialist to join our Raleigh based finance team. Summary: As our Collections Specialist you will be responsible for contacting past due customers in order to compel them to make timely payments; Assist customers with questions regarding software or maintenance charges; Maintains reports for the Finance Manager in regards to communications and credit risk: Assist with clerical and administrative tasks.Specific Duties:1. Responsible for contacting a list of about 180 customers regarding outstanding invoices and payment status. 2. Interacts with site contacts to reconcile problem invoices, and to arrange for timely payments.3. Reviews accounts receivable aging for delinquent accounts, and prepares notification of client's risk of support hold. 4. Maintains reports for Finance Manager in regards to communications, payment status, and support risk.5. Responsible for documenting all customer telephone inquiries to insure accurate contact information and consistent communications. 6. Interacts with all levels of external and internal management. 7. Responsible for a monthly cash collection goal and 120 days outstanding goal each month. 8. Assist with clerical and administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

1. 4+ years of collections experience2. Some post high school accounting classes3. Knowledge of Microsoft Office skills4. General Accounting Knowledge 5. High level of organizational skills6. Extensive customer service skills7.
