Title: Communications Manager, MSD #64604Location: Lake Oswego, OR Develops and drives strategy and tactics necessary to create and maintain excellent internal communication within MSD and with all stakeholders outside of the Division. Increase employee engagement and leadership effectiveness through clear, consistent, multi-directional communication consultation and execution. Assist in raising company-wide awareness of MSD: our business, what we do and the interaction between MSD and greater Autodesk. Assist in developing the communication content and processes that will go from MSD to our employees throughout the world. Manage content, processes and communication tools for the MSD organization. Contribute leadership in vision and planning for corporate communications tool(s) like SharePoint and Infosys. Qualified candidates will lead the design; help build and implement the division’s internal SharePoint solution. Primary duties and responsibilities: Share MSD vision, direction and priorities globally within the MSD organization and across the company. Ensure communications tie to Autodesk goals and business priorities. Provides hands-on guidance and coordination as well as refining processes required to execute comprehensive communication plans, including those necessary to ensure strategic, change-oriented communication. Engage with Senior Management both inside MSD and among external stakeholders in the organization to deliver cogent, coherent communications in a global business operation. Coach leaders to maximize effectiveness as communicators and leaders of positive change. Influences and leads the use of communication diagnostics (focus groups, opinion surveying, feedback mechanisms, etc.) throughout the organization. Support continuous improvement of leadership communication and communication processes within MSD. Increase MSD awareness within the division and greater Autodesk. Partners with corporate functions (e.g., Employee Communications, HR) to increase communication consistency and effectiveness. Develop and execute a MSD communication plan. Ongoing review and documentation of all MSD communication initiatives, both internal and external to the organization. This ongoing, multidirectional communication takes place through, but is not limited to, the following media: electronic (live meetings; virtual meetings; email, voicemail, teleconference, intranet, video, podcast), face-to-face meetings, and print. Contribute leadership in vision and planning for corporate communications tool(s) like SharePoint and Infosys. Critical competencies: • Strong writing/editing ability and experience • Collaborative work-style• Unwavering responsiveness to internal and external customers’ communication needs• Sensitivity to regional/Geo-specific communications styles and preferences; strong global perspective• Well versed with content management solutions • Experience with tools like SharePoint, blogs, wiki's and HTML necessary• Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment • Strong influencing skills; a preference for working behind the scenes• Lively sense of humor Requirements: • 8+ years experience creating and executing strategic communications programs for large, geographically dispersed Fortune 500 companies• Demonstrated proficiency working directly with Senior Management, including the ability to advise, influence, and coach on communication strategies around potentially sensitive issues.• Experience developing, documenting and socializing communication process improvements• Self-starter, thought leader, equally effective working independently and in a team, prioritizes and multi-tasks successfully • Outstanding written and verbal communications, ability to distill complex issues and information into simple messages • Demonstrate strong technical understanding of SharePoint, experience implementing SharePoint across an organization preferred.• General Project Management Skills• Experience in CAD/CAE, manufacturing or engineering desirable• Bachelor in Communications or related field is preferred.
