Compensation Analyst

General SummaryThis position is responsible for providing analysis and support in the specific area of Sales Compensation.  ResponsibilitiesABQS·  Provide support to domestic and international Human Resources users of the quota setting/sales compensation system (ABQS).·  Monitor daily feed of Accepted GAFs from ABQS to PeopleSoft and work with HR Operations to address & resolve discrepancies. Perform periodic audits of the two systems to ensure data integrity.·  Liaise with Human Resources domestically and internationally to ensure accuracy of standard sales compensation plans in ABQS and to prioritize requests for system changes/enhancements.·  Work with Global Sales Operations to prepare communications and provide periodic training to the HR users of ABQS to ensure awareness of the sales compensation planning process, system issues, and system updates and enhancements. Competitive Assessment/Market Surveys·  Participate in annual salary & practices surveys for the US and Canada in order to assess EMC’s competitive positioning & practices for Sales jobs.  Planning & Administration·  Provide support to HR Ops, Sales Ops and Sales Management in ensuring continuing accuracy of Sales job descriptions, titles, job codes, and grade levels.·  Assist in preparation and modification of the Sales Compensation Plan Terms & Conditions. ·  Ensure all sales compensation documents, including terms and conditions and special program announcements, are posted on Powerlink ·  Pull compensation and performance information from various systems to be used for analysis·  Perform other ad hoc projects and analysis as needed.Skills ·  Excellent communication skills·  Excellent analytical skills & advanced proficiency in Excel·  Attention to detail & accuracy/integrity of data·  Ability to multi-task & manage shifting priorities·  Sense of urgency & ability to work under tight deadlinesEducation Requirement Bachelors (Non-Technical) Degree and 1-3 years related experienceEMC is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer that values the strength diversity brings to the workplace.
