Computer Operator (JCL MVS)

Crown-IT is seeking well qualified candidates for multiple Computer Operator positions at our clients site in Indianapolis, IN.

Candidate selection is based on successful completion of SF85P, Questionnaire for Public Trust Position. Candidate must be a US citizen. Position will be part of a team responsible for the operations support of the Defense Civilian Pay System (DCPS). The DCPS is the payroll system for over 750,000 civilian workers through the Department of Defense (DOD) including the Executive Office of the President. DCPS is predominantly developed in COBOL to operate on IBM mainframe platforms with IDMS-R data bases. DCPS runs on a production system at Defense Enterprise Computer Center Mechanicsburg. The Contractor will be required to provide computer operations support for DCPS, which includes production, scheduling and execution of payroll and system-related batch jobs for TSO Pensacola and three payroll offices. Taskings support all DCPS production and development databases. Each database has a unique schedule of jobs and functions each day. The hours and days of functions vary by database.

 ALL THREE SHIFTS AVAILABLETRAVEL IS REQUIRED to Pensacola, FL (25%) for first 6 months then seldom after that.Bottom-line: I'm looking for technically good mainframe computer operators that are willing to work shifts and willing to do some travel the first 3-6 months.  They must also be self-starters, good communicators and team players.
