Location: Columbus, OH 43235 Employment Type: Full Time, Temporary/Contract/Project   Configuration Manager opportunity located here in Columbus, Ohio.  Our client is a large Fortune 500 company with lots of growth!  Job Description: Gate-Keeper for new code coming into environments and work closely with Project Managers and Technical Lead on code merges  Understand the dates the code will be moving through the environments and into production and understand the impact of the new code on the existing code within the environment Oversees Code Builds and Code moves Communicates what projects are in each environment, when code moves and code merges are being done and when they are completed Manages Code versioning tools via CVS and Visual Source Safe Abilty to gain consensus and resolve conflicting points of view is required   Technical Skills Desired: General knowledge of JAVA/J2EE, .NET, ASP, COM, SQL, Oracle, WebFocus, Websphere (WAS), Unix Shell Scripting, Web Server configuration - IBM HTTP server - Apache, MS-IIS, Visual Source Safe, CVS Experience is creating process and procedures for configuration management highly desired Controlling multi-environments on-site and off-site preferred Strong leadership, communication and organizational skills If you have the above requirements please send an updated word document of your resume to Lisa Zeller at lisazeller@spherion.com .
