Consultant, Project Management

Major Accountabilities: We are looking for a candidate that requires little to NO supervision, driven, enthusiastic, detail oriented, multi-tasker, learns quickly, can adapt to MC culture and can work in a very FAST pace emerging and internet environment. - Experience in Project Management methodologies such as Agile, XP and RUP. - Experience with tools such as Quality Center, Microsoft Project, ReqPro, Access. Other Microsoft office products are a given. - Provide business knowledge and technical support for business requirements development. This includes documentation of impacts to vendor software. - Provide technical support and vendor management to third party development group. - Work closely with developers, vendors and requesters identifying data and functional requirements in the design of new/enhanced systems. - Ensure development objectives are accomplished across impacted groups. - Coordinate and document project/release level user acceptance testing. This includes Test Strategy, Test Planning, Defect resolution management and status communication. - Consult with Business Owners to ensure expectations are known, documented and proper sing-off obtained. - Develop and participate in the review of business and functional requirements and determine primary impacts to application while documenting impacts, risks and assumptions. - Ensure timely and accurate communication with project staff throughout the life cycle of the project. - Document and coordinate changes and enhancements of products and services. This includes project and product documentation to assist in knowledge-sharing & training to create standard application artifacts. - Prepare and/or present documentation of business/technical presentations. - Evaluate business requests to determine feasibility, work with Software Engineers to define alternatives and recommend optimal solutions. - Prepare overall project plan; incorporating costs and tasks from various components; tracking to ensure a successful implementation. - Overall Financial Management of all projects and roll-up to department levels. - Ensure methodology compliance, document problem areas and coordinate resolutions, reporting to management as necessary. - Overall resource assignments and leveling across various projects. - Investigate/research MasterCard or industry business/technical process. - Coordinate and assist in implementation of new or revised rules and policies.

Experience Required: Extended knowledge of project management processes and techniques. Extended experience with structured methodology and project planning tools. Previous experience leading project teams. Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of experience and formal education.
