Content Development Manager

The job holder will be expected to run the Content Development Team within eDevelopment. Responsible for all development work specifically, resource planning, scheduling and delivery. Responsible for the ongoing support of processing of all journal content across all products supported by eDevelopment.

The job holder will be responsible for the line management of the team and will also help define the strategy of the team. They will recommend technologies and upcoming technologies in line with strategic direction, and provide the appropriate standards, procedures and policies for their use.

The role will also encompass a relationship building/maintenance aspect, as one of the key objectives for the team is to be closely aligned with both the business owner & sponsor.

Main Activities and ResponsibilitiesResponsible for all line management duties for the agile team Ensure development includes analysis, design, documentation and testing and any other necessary steps to ensure the highest possible quality of development. Ensure regular and clear communications (written/verbal) within the team and business customers and other project stakeholders at all seniority levels. In conjunction with PMs, review all high level project plans to ensure optimum use of technical resources (including vendor resources (where needed)). Review size/composition/skills of the teams and ensure it is has the necessary qualities required for project success. Maintain an excellent understanding of all business domains worked within and understand relative priorities and the business drivers within each business unit. Ensure all projects have quality procedures defined and implemented within all projects. Make recommendations to enhance all processes to improve and maintain their effectiveness and quality. Provide ongoing tracking of progress.
