Job Description: The candidate will be responsible for finding sports-specific content and working with our expert content providers -- coaches, nutritionists and other sports professionals -- for online content. In addition, must be able to write teaser blurbs, insert relevant links from posted stories in HTML newsletter templates, and then schedule for mass e-mail delivery via application software. Ability to write feature articles as needed. Strong editing and writing skills, combined with excellent knowledge of MS Windows, MS Word and basic HTML commands are a must. Other duties include coordinating freelance writers. Knowledge of team sports and/or endurance sports preferred; in particular, knowledge of golf and/or tennis a plus.Duties and Responsibilities: • Responsible for programming content including writing headlines/teasers, photo selection, editorial calendaring, and other related duties • Edit stories and write blurbs • Solicit and edit articles from sports professionals • Search wire service for stories and images • Post stories and images in content publishing system • Prepare HTML newsletters • Write stories as neededRequirements for Position: • At least one year of proven editing experience.
