Core Operations Associate

Job DescriptionManage and support a sophisticated trading system trading multiple asset classes on several exchanges, both domestic and foreign. Oversee order flow to multiple exchanges worldwide; research, investigate and correct (including hedging) problems with specific orders or exchanges.   Identify, troubleshoot and resolve issues with trading system components (including systems, network and software) in real-time. Deploy, analyze, and optimize performance of complex trading systems in real-time. Serve as the front-line interface with venues and exchanges for daily operations. QualificationsAbility to communicate clearly and triage problems on a trading floor Working knowledge of electronic trading, FIX protocol, Linux, Java, regex, bash. Working knowledge of Linux – including process and job control, file handles and permission control, directory structure Basic networking knowledge – know how data traverses a network, TCP, UDP, ability to troubleshoot network connectivity problems Basic routing knowledge a plusCompany InformationEWT is a proprietary securities trading company and is a member firm of major stock and futures exchanges.
