About the Team The Akamai Corporate Communications team is a group of Marketing Communications professionals responsible for the ongoing communication of Akamai corporate initiatives to both the customer and online business community. Through the use of both online and print mediums this group drives awaremess and demand for the Akamai suite of EdgePlatform solutions. About the Job The Corporate Communications Manager will be responsible for supporting the execution of Akamai marketing programs including corporate events and tradeshows, newsletter development, direct marketing, search marketing, and other customer marketing activities. This candidate will interface directly with customers, partners, and service vendors. The successful candidate will have both a marketing and events background and have the ability to view programs from both a creative and analytical perspective. Responsibilities * Manage the ongoing development and distribution of customer communications. * Oversee the overall scope of corporate events and tradeshows, including both content management and logistics planning. * Work with outside vendors and contractors to ensure the smooth operation of all corporate marketing programs. * Update the quarterly events calendar, for both internal and external viewing. * Maintain ongoing Corporate Search Marketing efforts through the use of PPC and SEO strategies. * Develop success metrics to demonstrate the effectiveness of marketing programs. * Education: Bachelor's Degree * Overall Experience: 5-7 years or equivalent experience * 2 years of experience with SEO or equivalent experience * 5 years of experience with Event Management or equivalent experience * 7 years of experience with Marketing Management or equivalent experience Desired Qualifications * Prior experience in marketing and event management. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
