DIRECT HIRE Embedded Firmware/Software Engineer $75-90k!!!

A manufacturer of small electronic devices seeks an experienced Embedded Firmware/Software Engineer to join their team.  Responsibilities include the definition of new products, hands-on design and development, creation of technical documentation, test and test system design, product qualification, and project management.

 

Requirements:

· A BS degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering with microprocessor concentration and at least 6 years of related experience

· Demonstrated capabilities to develop structured and supportable firmware/software

· Substantial experience in the use of development and debugging tools

· Experience developing firmware for a variety of 8, 16 and 32 bit processors in C/C++ and assembly language

· Experience developing software drivers, APIs, and tools to interface PCs and Microprocessor-controlled Devices

· Experience designing/performing quality assurance testing to rigorously prove code quality

· Capability to prototype and debug new designs and systems

· Experience developing technical documentation including product specifications, manufacturing process documentation, and users manuals

· Experience with USB bus protocol and familiarity with SPI, I2C, and Microwire interfaces

· Excellent communication skills to interface with customers and all disciplines within various departments

· A proven track record of completing projects on-time, within budget, and to specification

· Experience with schematic capture, familiarity with memory technologies (EEPROM, serial Flash, and NAND Flash), RTOS software, Visual Basic, Linux, file management systems (FAT16, FAT32, or similar) is considered a plus.
