DSP Software Engineer

Title: DSP Software Engineer $ 65,000- $75,000/ year 

 

Reports To: Engineering Manager

 

Compensation: $65,000-$75,000/ year

Position Summary: Our client is a global, innovative supplier of RF products, systems, services and solutions.  Their portfolio includes hardware, software, components and services. They offer these innovative products and services through our industry leading product line brands. They provide industry leading components and products such as site analyzers, wattmeter's, digital sensors, samplers, antennas and signal boosters, tower mounted amplifiers for a variety of applications including mobile radio, cellular, semiconductor, broadcast, medical, military and government.

The DSP Software Engineer is responsible for design support to the instrument design team. You will work with the Engineering teams to design and test new instrument firmware & software products. You will provide design support for new product development, sales, purchasing, quality as well as engineering support for manufacturing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Develop real time DSP software on embedded processors and FPGA platforms using C, MATLAB, Simulink, etc.Use and apply PC based support tools including compliers, debuggers and configuaration management softwareCreate and maintain project software documentation, and computer aided software engineering aspects of project managementProvide technical assistance for sales and manufacturing teams as well as customers as needed.Provide support to purchasing for vendor and part selection

Skills:3+ years designing DSP systems Technical knowledge of simulated algorithms and hardware subsystems to  verify performance and feasibility of meansurement schemes for system instrument desingSolid understanding of mathematical principals of software desing and DSPHigh level language experience (i.e C or VHDL)

Education/Experience:BS in Engineering or sciences field
