Data Analysis Consultant

OVERALL JOB PURPOSE  LeapFrogRx is a profitable five year old software startup that is a leading provider of visualization, reporting, and analysis of pharmaceutical marketing and sales data.  We are seeking a hands-on Data Analysis Consultant to help us create and deliver ad hoc analysis to our customers. 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

 

We are seeking an experienced analytical consultant to dive deep into pharmaceutical marketing and sales data sets using a combination of database tools, excel and LeapFrogRx's unique software. The end goal is to use the rich data contained within corporate, IMS, and other data sets to understand our customer's market dynamics and help them deploy marketing and sales resources to achieve their goals. The result of this understanding will be spreadsheets, presentations, or custom analytical models that can be delivered to pharmaceutical executives. While not a primary part of the job, the ideal candidate will have the presence to communicate effectively with senior executives, brand teams, or sales management. The candidate must thrive in an exciting, dynamic start-up environment where business priorities change rapidly and the highest quality deliverables are expected. Key duties include:

 

· On a scheduled and ad hoc basis, author analyses and presentations that effectively illustrate key findings from available quantitative data.

· Create presentations, spreadsheets or models for executives to drive redeployment of marketing and sales resources to achieve goals.

· Work collaboratively with client executives, brand team, and sales force leaders to deliver insightful presentations with LeapFrogRx frameworks and software tools.

 

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE

 

· Experience working on complex, data-driven assignments that require an ability to understand and navigate large data structures, manipulate and cleanse data, and perform any and all necessary statistical analysis.

· In depth knowledge of Excel and other desktop tools used to manipulate data.

· Superior ability to build PowerPoint presentations to develop senior level executive presentations.

· Other desired, but not essential, skills include:

 

o  Ability to use SQL, data import tools such as DTS, and Microsoft SQL Server to build, query, and analyze large data sets.

o  Experience with the statistical manipulation of data and inferential statistics: t-Tests, ANOVA, correlation and regression techniques.

o  Experience with OLAP tools such as Microstrategy, Hyperion, Cognos, and Business Objects

o  Experience in the Pharmaceutical vertical and/or with IMS, NDC, or other time series data sets.

EDUCATION AND TRAVEL

 

· Undergraduate degree in mathematics, economics, statistics, computer science or equivalent; MBA/MS or equivalent is a plus.

· Work at home office and Orange County customer site expected.
