SUMMARY

The purpose of this position is to process Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) from hardcopy to electronic format through various production stages. Stages include Intake, Sorting, Database Searching, Scanning, Data Conversion, Reworking, Indexing, Final Checks and Shipping.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·Keyboarding, working with personal computer.
·Learn and use data conversion software.
·Understand and follow standard operating procedures (SOP’s), customer rules, and general production guidelines successfully.
·Based on production priority and following customer rules; intake, sort, database search, scan, convert, rework, index, final check and ship data and perform special projects through production utilizing in-house production tracking programs.
·Achievement and maintenance of defined quality standards.
·Update various databases for tracking purposes.
·Communicate backlog and work flow issues to supervisor.

 

REQUIREMENTS

·Experience working in / desire to work in data services – fast-paced, detail-oriented, teamwork environment.
·Excellent attendance meeting company requirements.
·Keyboarding, working with personal computer.
·Self-driven / highly motivated.
·Proven ability to multi-task.
·Highly detail-oriented.
·Knowledge/use of Windows Explorer, file directories, various file types, data structure.
·Desire to learn new skills and seek to understand the full scope of production.
