Must have skills are:

Exposure to a ETL environment (Datastage preferred) Data transfer to SAP especially General Ledger Insurance industry experience



This position requires understanding the business requirements and transforming into functional documents which would be handed off to the technical team.

The tech team would convert the functional document to a technical document.

Analysts may not be hard core developers but usually the developers transform into analysts with good working experience.



Position Description:Open position for an individual who will be responsible for the analysis and design of interfaces to move data from the source operational & external environments to the target reporting and general ledger environments. Responsible for the analysis of business requirements to be translated into transformation procedures to be implemented in the data integration environment. Responsible for the analysis of the source system environment including the determination of the appropriate structures to facilitate data transformation. Responsible for the definition of internal and external interfaces to be designed into and out of the target environment. Supports the data integration design process in areas such as error and exception handling, reconciliation and control points and data checks. Responsible for the design of source to target mappings and business rules (e.g. transformation logic) through the development of the logical data integration models. Responsible for defining data quality criteria to ensure data quality integrity. Responsible for performing data profiling of existing applications. Responsible for reviewing and approving the technical project deliverables to ensure that the project deliverables are aligned with the logical design and business requirements (requirements traceability). Provide complete documentation of the designed data interface processes. Supports test plan development.



Position Requirements:Bachelors Degree with Field of study in: Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering with Math Skills or equivalent business experience 3+ years experience in data warehousing, business intelligence and ETL environments. 3+ years experience in data integration and ETL activities. 3+ years experience in designing and implementing ETL applications that integrate data from multiple sources into multiple targets 3-5 years experience in performing financial data analysis. 3-5 years experience with SQL design and development. Excellent verbal and written communication stills are required. The individual must also be able to provide integration, UAT and prototype test plans. The individual must have a strong understanding of the types of transformations that would facilitate building out business and accounting rules and calculations.
