Position Purpose
The Database Administrator will provide production and development support for our online applications. The individual will have responsibility for writing, reviewing and optimizing SQL stored procedures, views and triggers and will perform database optimization, monitoring and tuning.
Responsibilities:
· Provide production and development database support for an online application
· Perform analysis, design, and development of database objects
· Write, review and optimize MS SQL stored procedures, views and triggers
· Load data from diverse sources using MS Integration services
· Resolve data integrity issues on production databases
· Perform database optimization, monitoring and tuning
· Demonstrate advanced database debugging and troubleshooting skills
· Automate deployment procedures Perform specification, configuration, capacity planning and maintenance of database servers
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experienceA minimum of 7+ years experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2000 & 2005 in a production environmentAbility to prioritize and execute tasks in a deadline driven environmentStrong attention to detailComfort in working collaboratively in a team environment or as an individual contributorData warehousing experience (design, maintenance, ETL)System Development Life Cycle familiarityWorking knowledge of Database Management softwareSQL Server 2000/2005 or Oracle certification is desiredExperience with Biz Talk is a plus
