These include the Microsoft SQL Server 2000, SQL Server 2005, and MySQL databases, as well as related technologies such as DTS, and Stored Procedures. Job Duties: Design and development of stored procedures and new schema based on project requirements Recoverability - maintaining backups, preparation and execution of disaster recovery Integrity - managing and verifying data integrity Security - defining and implementing controlled access to the data Availability - ensuring maximum uptime Performance analysis, tuning and optimization - ensuring maximum performance given budgetary constraints Development and testing support - assisting and guiding developers in efficient usage of the databases Query Analysis & ProfilingQualificationsQualifications:•5+ years database administration•3+ years database engineering •Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and 2005 database design and tuning procedures•Expert level proficiency in T-SQL, stored procedure, and trigger development•Applied experience in a Visual Studio / .NET 2.0 environment•Applied experience with SQL Server 2005 Web services is a plusProfessional Competencies:•Proven change management skills•Strong troubleshooting skills•Strong communication and interpersonal skills•Effectively multi-task in a fast paced environmentThe First American Corporation is an Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
