Seagate Services, a division of Seagate Technology, is seeking a Database Application Engineer for its MetaLINCS business unit. This position will be responsible for the design and implementation of new features for Seagate Services E-discovery suite. The role will be part of a dynamic team working on high quality code.

Imagine Yourself:Designing, implementing, maintaining, and tuning a SQL Server database as part of an installed enterprise software application responsible for processing and tracking large amounts of content for the legal industry Writing T-SQL stored procedures for data insert, update and access including use of xml schema and paging interfaces Designing and coding C#.Net interfaces and objects to access database content Tuning overall system architecture and logic to make efficient use of the database storage and update capabilities Develop scripts and programs for correcting problems on an as-needed basis Creating data migration scripts with all database changes to ensure compatibility between versions
What We’re Looking For:7 years experience designing, installing, configuring and tuning relational databases in SQL Server 2005; Oracle is a plus Experience troubleshooting performance issues due to problematic queries, indexes, views, etc. Ability to develop high performance components in a heavily multithread application Ablility to design and write object oriented DB API’s in C#.Net Ablility to write stored procedures to handle XML data from input and output data Experience developing data migration scripts and procedures for hands-off DB applications Ability to write complex queries with the optimal performance
