POSITION OVERVIEW

The ideal candidate will be motivated, enthusiastic and ready for new challenges and opportunities.  They will: §  Modify, create and enhance existing forms.  Break down into their basic components to increase their functionality. Enlarge and maintain our existing set of fill-able immigration related forms (for U.S. and many other countries) using proprietary methodologies.  §  Map data from the database to specific form fields. A basic understanding of databases is required.  (SQL and / or Access ).§  A critical eye for formatting and layout is required, as well as meticulous attention to detail.  §  Perform preliminary testing, identify possible issues, and document solutions for bugs and fixes. §  Participate on project teams for new and revised product interfaces, complete special projects and provide developers with full description of problems. §  Engage in quality assessment of databases, testing of new databases and applications software prior to release. §  Optimally be able to draft and proof tutorials and quick reference guides and helpdesk documentation.  Create tutorial “movies.”.

REQUIREMENTS A Bachelor's or Associates degree is preferred but will substitute for appropriate business experience. Computer Science, Information Technology or a related technical degree.  MCP, MCSE, MCT certification is a PLUS. Intermediate knowledge of Adobe Acrobat Pro 8.0 and Adobe LifeCycle Designer is a PLUS. Familiarity with XML is desired. Must understand basic database structures and relationships. ( SQL and/or ACCESS ).Proficiency with Visual Basic ( VB ) formatting functions is desirable. Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word 2000 (and newer versions) desired. Requires excellent written English and verbal interpersonal communication skills with a strong positive team oriented attitude.  Must be able to speak effectively with both non-technical end-users as well as IT professionals. Demonstrated experience in problem resolution and technical problem identification.  Helpdesk and/or technical support representative experience a strong plus. SQL knowledge of basic commands, Enterprise Manager & Query Analyzer.  (Running SQL script and adding users, creating access for database etcetera is a plus.) Familiarity with search, retrieval and file management. Requires strong attention to detail, outstanding resourcefullness, flexibility and the ability to work independently as well as within a team setting. Comfortable with working in a large shared office space with individual work-stations.  Familiarity with U.S. and/or global immigration is a big plus. Ability to work typical hours of 7:00- 3:30 or 8:00 - 4:30, Monday -Friday with some overtime required.
