Database Management Specialist: DBMS, EDI, EDX

Jefferson University Physicians, a division within Thomas Jefferson University, is currently accepting resumes for a Database Manager. In this leadership role, the successful candidate will direct the activities associated with the management of DBMS. He or she will provide daily supervision and assign tasks to the DBMS and EDI staff.

 

Responsibilities include: Selecting, interviewing, and hiring new DBMS and EDI staff.Training, orientation, evaluation of performance.Development and implementation of goals and objectives, as well as PBS policies and procedures.Development and implementation of departmental customer support and service standards, including report turn-around time, tracking disposition, and customer satisfaction.Interacting with other managers and supervisors to ensure a coordinated effort.Maintaining an ad hoc reporting system for departmental support.Creation and maintenance of user reports for IDX system end-users.Participation in the information systems development, installation, testing, and upgrades for new clients, modules or releases pertaining to the IDX system.Assisting in the creation of custom PCX report definitions.

 To qualify:BS Degree in computer science, healthcare, business administration or related field with a minimum of 3 years experience in a customer service capacity within IT, healthcare / hospital environment.2 years supervisory experience relating to physician systems.Strong IDX and DBMS applications.Up-to-date knowledge of 3rd party rules and regulations including Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payors.Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work in a dead-line oriented capacity.
