DepartmentDC ServicesResponsibilitiesDesign, develop and implement customized systems and solutions for clients using ESRI’s ArcGIS suite of software including ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Desktop, ArcSDE, ArcIMS and extensions.Work closely with project managers, consultants, account managers, marketing staff, U.S. Government clients, and other contractors to analyze problems, define requirements and develop solutions.Provide technical consulting and support to customers.Document all work performed at client sites for future reference. RequirementsB.S. or M.S. degree in computer science, engineering, GIS or a related field. Experience working in an applications development environment including expertise in Java or .NET Note that years of experience commensurate with position level: senior, 11+; mid-level, 4-10; and junior, less than three. Experience with Oracle, SQL Server or other RDBMS. Willingness to travel domestically, primarily within region.Excellent communication, teamwork and problem solving skills.U.S. citizenship and ability and willingness to obtain a security clearance.Recommended QualificationsExperience with ESRI software including ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Desktop, ArcSDE or ArcIMS.Experience with component based architectures, OO, COM or SOA.Experience with other industry standard technologies such as XML, Web services, application servers or Web servers.Data modeling and UML experience.Knowledge of UNIX and Linux OS.Previous technical leadership of a project development team.Experience with software estimating, planning, and progress tracking.
