Delphi Developer

Job Summary:
Responsible for working as a member of a small team to maintain and significantly add innovations to our existing core products written in Delphi.  Is expected to define, write and unit test the new features, as well as fix existing bugs.  Must be able to enthusiastically implement software in accordance with the negotiated requirements within an acceptable timeframe. 
This role works directly with many other departments and requires excellent inter-personal communication.  This person must work well independently and rely on experience and judgment to accomplish goals, within the context of the team.  A significant degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Confirm project requirements by reviewing marketing requirements, functional specifications and design documents with stakeholders
Attend and contribute to reviews for requirements, design, source code and test plans
Provide estimates for schedules.
Design, code and test software programs
Deliver high quality tested software on the dates required
Hold and attend design reviews
Confirm software operation by conducting unit tests
Maintain historical records by documenting program development and revisions
Check all software and documents into source code control.
Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Learn new skills as needed
Communicate technical and project knowledge to others as needed
Take verbal and written direction from Lead and Manager as needed
Keep supervisor up-to-date each week on project status

Qualifications:
BS CS or equivalent experience
Four years or more experience developing Delphi applications
Desire to work in an entrepreneurial environment on a relatively small, close knit development team

Skills Required:
Demonstrate high proficiency using Delphi developing applications
Proficiency using Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Familiar with Software Development Management and Change Management processes
Ability to develop code to match customer requirements following a negotiated specification
Self started, tendency to work quickly with a minimum of direct supervision once tasks have been defined
Ability to estimate software development time and effort accurately
Commitment to deliver assigned tasks in a quality manner on time with minimal supervision
Ability to interface with customers to capture their needs and requirements
