The DST is SAP's core design innovation team providing counsel to the CEO and SAP's Executive Board, impacting SAP strategy, products and most importantly people. DST is a high-energy, multidisciplinary group using Design Thinking to drive change within SAP. Help define SAP's business strategy by combining emerging technologies and business models with a strong focus on the needs of the end-user and their organizations. Providing professional consulting services to SAP Executive Leaders, the DST identifies and defines problems, conducts research, generates solutions and validates prototypes in order to create breakthrough solutions for SAP's customers and partners. The team works across different functional and business areas-interfacing extensively with the CEO and Executive Board Members-to deliver impact and measurable value on SAP solutions and products. Comprised of seasoned professionals from the fields of user research, interaction design, software development, business consulting, program management and multimedia, DST engagements range from SAP's corporate strategy to go-to-market solutions and organizational development. EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS We value individuals who: * Solve problems in innovative and collaborative ways * Are strategic thinkers and leaders * Thrive on ambiguity, developing opportunities where others see road blocks * Believe everyone can be a designer You will be expected to: * Lead cross-functional teams engaged in strategic, organizational, or operational projects focusing on improving the way SAP designs its solutions, including the develop architecture, tools and platforms. * Engage effectively with our clients (Executive Management of SAP), SAP stakeholders (e.g. internal managers, external consultants) SAP customers, and of course, SAP end-users. * Actively manage projects including all aspects of problem definition and solution, working with internal company stakeholders to implement solutions/services, ensuring projects are delivered with high-quality, on-time, and according to pre-defined business objectives. * Engage with project team and end users in all aspects of the design process including identification of user needs, requirements definition, storyboarding and prototyping, and iterative end user validation * Use superior communication skills and the ability to effectively engage and convey ideas to cross-functional technical and business solution management teams. * Leverage deep understanding of the entire software process including strategy, initial concept engineering development, and production rollout.
