If you would like to be part of an organization where there are NO LIMITS, please submit your resume to jobs@netsuite.com Job Description: As a part of the Industry Solutions and Ecosystems Group (IEG), you will help deliver on the next phase of NetSuite’s tremendous growth – delivering highly customer-centric, verticalized solutions, whether NetSuite built, co-developed with industry leaders, or enabled through a thriving developer and ISV ecosystem of partners.  The Software Development Manager/Director is part of the IEG leadership team providing (a) technology strategy, (b) ISV/developer partner guidance, and (c) development/QA team management. The development manager/director will be responsible for a tight knit development group delivering NetSuite’s vertical solutions, as well as partner enabling guidance, platform and systems.  The candidate will use his/her extensive experience in software architecture, integration, development, and people management to deliver enterprise-class, vertical solutions built atop the NS-BOS platform.  The fast-paced, small team environment requires a “hands-on” approach.  The manager/ director participates closely in design, development, as well as works closely with key partners and ISV’s.  In addition, this individual must work closely with the applications development organization.  As a new group within NetSuite’s development organization, you will help define NetSuite’s NS-BOS Platform as a Service (PaaS) strategy and how both NetSuite, as well as its partners, will deliver highly customized SaaS-based solutions to market.  He/she must also work closely with the NS BOS product management team as a key advocate for NetSuite’s rapidly growing partner and ISV community to continuously improve the platform capabilities. It is crucial to have prior experience in interfacing with external ISV partners with domain expertise on joint development efforts.Vertical applications and partner/ecosystem enabled solutions are a key tenant of NetSuite’s future for both growth and differentiation.  Please contact us to be part of that solution.RESPONSIBILITIES- Provide leadership, technical guidance, and people management across your team of solution architects, developers, and quality assurance engineers- Work closely with solutions architects, vertical strategists and partners to design technically sound systems based on methodical analysis – maximizing the platform’s strengths and make sound decisions on trade-offs- Build enterprise class vertical solutions using SOAP Web Services, SuiteScript API’s, SuiteBuilder and extension /customization capabilities in NetSuite- Provide feedback to product management and assist in developing product roadmap and strategies- Define development processes and best practices for on time product delivery that meets internal quality standards; owns and improves these processes as necessary- Make sound decisions on future directions of the solution products and application development efforts based on input from team members and product management- Create plans and assign project tasks and deliverables to a team of software engineers; monitor performance against plan- Motivate team members; keep them up to date on the team’s and company’s strategies - Foster a work environment that values innovation and encourages information sharing- Manage external consultants/vendors as neededQualifications/Skills: B.S. degree or higher, preferably in Computer Science of equivalent- 6+ years of experience in system development, either via a consulting firm or a software vendor using Java, .Net, JavaScript, XML, SOAP web services- 4+ years working in a technical leadership role- Thorough understanding of software development practices for enterprise class software with a clear focus on quality- Demonstrated experience in identifying and executing critical, high-payoff strategies- An analytical thinker who has an excellent track record of resolving difficult problems with sound, innovative solutions- Understands the principals and operations of IT architecture; effectively applies this knowledge to product development as well as day-to-day team operations- Must possess the ability to influence positive thinking and gain acceptance from technical as well as management audiences- Communicates professionally, accurately and punctually, both verbally and in writing- The ability to travel occasionallyTo Apply: Please quote the job title in the subject line of your e-mail and e-mail your resume to jobs@netsuite.com .     Company: NetSuite Location: San Mateo, CA Status: Full Time, Employee Job Category: IT/Software Development Occupations: Enterprise Software Implementation & Consulting;Software/System Architecture;Software/Web Development Career Level: Manager (Manager/Supervisor of Staff) Industry: Computer Software Company: NetSuite Reference Code: 1278
