Development Specialist (Spanish Documentation)

MEDITECH is looking for people to be part of a small team and an exciting new effort to create our new Spanish Language Health Care Information System. Ideal candidates will ensure that the MEDITECH products are translated properly and meet the cultural, financial and medical needs of the Latin American market. As a documentation specialist, your position will entail high quality English to Spanish translation of documentation as well as an opportunity to develop the applications by working closely with our application Development Specialists. MEDITECH will train qualified candidates who have the desire to learn, have good interpersonal skills, and who enjoy researching issues and problem solving. Responsibilities: * Work closely with our application Development Specialists to write proper and high quality documentation (user manuals, on-line help) for new and modified functionality * Research and Analyze proper Spanish language terminology for medical and financial systems * Understand the functionality of our US-based systems in order to translate the documentation of our HCIS product into a comprehensive Spanish * Test application software using translated user manuals Qualifications: * Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Spanish are required, native speakers preferred * Technical writing skills in Spanish a plus * Ability to work independently and meet deadlines is a must * Strong analytical skills * High desire to learn * Great project management skills * Exceptional attention to detail and solid problem solving abilities Education & Experience: Associates Degree, Bachelors Degree or applicable work experience. Technical skills in testing are a plus but not required. English to Spanish translations of clinical, financial, administrative and departmental documents in any aspect of Health Information is a plus.
