ETL/Data warehousing Specialist

Required skill Set:

MS SQL Server 2005 ; query optimization, db performance tuning.

Trading, Knowledge of FIX Protocol (Financial)

Job Description:

 

Ø  4-5 years of experience managing mid to large-scale database design and implementation initiatives.

Ø  An expert in MS SQL Server 2005, including SSIS, and/or Analysis Services and Reporting Services.

Ø  Dimensional data modeling and UDM, ETL using Integration Services (SSIS),Reporting Services (SSRS),Analysis Services (SSAS), Data Mining

Ø  6-7 years of database development experience and at least 4-5 years experience with MS SQL server database.

Ø  Extensive hands-on experience in design and development of stored procedures and triggers and TSQL.

Ø  Will be actively developing and implementing sql code, processes and functions.

Ø  Strong experience in query optimization, db performance tuning.

 

Business Requirements:

 

Ø  Prior experience developing solutions for trading and position keeping.

Ø  Understanding of trade and market data feeds (i.e. FIX trading, Reuters, NYSE, Nasdaq, Low latency trading etc.)

Ø  Asynchronous messaging technologies (i.e. MQ, API)

Ø  Ability to work comfortably in highly varying levels

Ø  of abstraction from business strategy to product

   strategy to high level technical design to detailed

technical  design to implementation.

Ø  Ability to clearly document and communicate objectives, requirements and designs at these different levels of abstraction.

Ø  Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ø  Effective presentation skills

 

* Strong educational background with BS / MS in

Computer Science, Engineering or related area.
