Director, Business Development

Job Summary: The primary function of the Director of Business Development is management of an assigned sub-set of the DataSynapse Partner Portfolio. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

The Partner Portfolio consists of the following Partner types: Applications ISV’s EcoSystem Players (ISV’s and others) Systems integrators

The Director of BD will work with VP BD to manage an assigned subset of the DS Partner Portfolio from a corporate relationship, Product Mgmt. and Go To Market perspective. The Director of BD is also responsible for the development and intake of new partners for addition to the DS Partner Portfolio. Work with VP BD and Sales Mgmt. for new partner intake (three types above) based on client engagements and strategic corporate initiatives Work with New Partners, VP BD and VP FRD to develop, negotiate and close commercial agreements for the development of a joint solution or integration layer (IL) as well as GTM Work with VP BD and VP FRD to project manage the build of an IL between DS software and Partner software Work with DS Marketing to package the joint DS / Partner solution for GTM Work with Partner Marketing on GTM activities, e.g. WebCasts, to drive demand Work with Partner and Field R&D / Product Mgmt. to coordinate ongoing product management of the IL Work with DS Sales and Services on client engagements as necessary where the joint DS / Partner IL solution is a driver

10+ years of partner management and / or sales in enterprise software Infrastructure software experience required Applications software experience is a plus Successful track record in both mature and early stage companies Basic knowledge of multi-tier software architectures and IT stacks The more the better but there is no software development or software implementation within the scope of the position BA from a 4 year College / University Preffered
