Director, IP Security & Loss Protection Electronic Arts, headquartered in Redwood Shores, California, is the world’s leading interactive entertainment software company.  Founded in 1982, the company develops, publishes, and distributes interactive software worldwide for video game systems, personal computers, cellular handsets, and the Internet.  Electronic Arts markets its products under four brand names:  EA SPORTS, EA, EA SPORTS BIG, and POGO.  In fiscal 2007, EA posted revenue of $3.09 billion and had 24 titles that sold more than one million copies.  We seek qualified applicants for the following position based in our Redwood Shores, CA headquarters: Director, IP Security & Loss Protection POSITION SUMMARY: The Director of IP Security & Loss Prevention is a key member of the CISO Staff which provides security governance and support for EA’s business worldwide. This position will be focused on all aspects of IP security, with particular emphasis on loss prevention and copy protection. The position works closely with the business units, IT and the CISO requiring the ability to balance business needs and corporate standards. This individual will have extensive knowledge of technology offerings and keep track of legal regulatory requirements in the IP area.  The successful candidate will possess a strong knowledge of the software development lifecycle and associated risks pertaining to content protection. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Ÿ Ability to work well with business and legal as well as lead a team of senior IP security professionals that includes direct and dotted-line reports.Ÿ Develop a strategic IP security & loss prevention plan with a vision for the future at EAŸ Manage and promote IP security & loss prevention standards, policies and procedures; ensure that these artifacts are disseminated, understood and implemented across the business.Ÿ Responsible for the development of required corrective action plans, including end to end process analysis of all technical departments to identify areas of risk relating to IP security & loss preventionŸ Lead development of the enterprise IP security & loss prevention policies, standards, and procedures.  Ÿ Define and implement a risk-based approach to identifying, monitoring, controlling, measuring and reporting various types of IP security risks and communicating status periodically to executive management. Ÿ Perform IP security assessments of external vendors and service providers as necessary.Ÿ Review new copy protection and DRM offerings for EAŸ Negotiate and manage copy protection and DRM deals for EAŸ Maintain an ongoing watch of new technologies and strategies that enhance IP protection.Ÿ Develop performance measurements and matrices to assess the effectiveness and ROI of IP controlsŸ Manage strategic use of copy protection API and DRM within the development lifecycle Ÿ Responsible for all aspects of IP security for EA pre and post released builds (storage, sharing, testing, etc.)Ÿ Assist the business units to maintain IP security during outsourcing or off shoring, defining processes and perform auditsŸ Oversee security process and review and approve all hardware purchases, defining strategy for mastering labsŸ Review and approve all Q/A – corporate domain account transfersŸ Partner with WW Mastering and develop, maintain and promote content security standards pertaining to the mastering environment and extended networkŸ Partner with Anti-Piracy teams in the investigation of IP leakage Ÿ Advise an coach the business in relation to standards and best practice around Strategic Sales and Licensing deals and content security methodologies Ÿ   JOB QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIRED SKILLS:Ÿ Sr. Manager or Director level experience in IP security and/or loss preventionŸ Deep understanding in all aspects of IP security, copy protection, DRM, information security strategy, technologies and toolsŸ Demonstrated leadership skills with ability to work effectively at executive levelsŸ Expert program and project management skillsŸ Bachelors in business/technology required; Masters degree preferredŸ Certifications in one or more of the following areas preferred: CISSP, CISM, GISO, GCIHŸ Experience in the entertainment media or entertainment software business is an advantage   If you are interested in applying for this position, please click on the link below or go to www.jobs.ea.com:   http://jobs.ea.com/pljb/ElectronicArts/United_States/applicant/jobClick.jsp?count=1&id=7178
