Position summary:

The Director of Training is responsible for the design, development, implementation and maintenance of engaging effective client training programs in both classroom and e-Learning environments to support all product levels of Talent Management. The selected candidate will manage the various training teams and drive the development of curriculum and other support materials. The Director of Training will serve on the Talent Management Services Leadership Team and will report to the VP of Client Engagement.  This position can be located in Wayne, PA, Waltham, MA or Lincoln, NE.

 

Primary responsibilities:

1. Manage the training team and work in conjunction with the team to develop effective training sessions (classroom and web-based). 

2. Support all TM products including KCT, KRB, KR, KRE, KORR and KRX product platforms.

3. Develop a training scorecard including effective metrics to track the performance of each trainer and survey feedback from training customers.

4. Organize and execute metrics on the revenue associated with training and the additional sales efforts to optimize customers and their product knowledge.

5. Track and report to the Leadership Team customer feedback on training and teaching best practices.

6. Work with the Best Practices and Sales teams to create future training programs that support new developments and release functionality.

7. Grow the training revenues by 30% year over year both inside and outside the new project sales

8. Align with the Extreme Services Hierarchy for Proactive and Teach discoveries and continually refine and upgrade our training venue to meet ever-growing and changing client needs.

 

Required qualifications/ experience:

1. Minimum of four years experience in software training for technical and non-technical audiences.

2. Demonstrated ability to manage people effectively with an interest in developing and coaching employees and managing for performance.

3. Strong communication skills, written and verbal.

4. Experience in e-Learning and the creation of online training courses.

5. Experience and demonstrated ability in instructional systems design processes such as needs assessments and analyses, design, development and evaluation.

6. The ability to solve problems independently while working in a fast paced, energetic environment.

7. Knowledge of adult learning theory.

8. Demonstrated project planning and time management skills.

9. Knowledge of authoring tools.

10. Self-motivated, able to work in a team and independently.

 

Preferred qualifications/ experience:

1. Previous experience in developing training materials or coursework.

2. A working knowledge of HR operations is desired, as is technical expertise on computer software systems.

3. Participation in American Society for Training & Development (ASTD) or other related professional organization.

 

Education/training:

Bachelor's degree in a related field (Instructional Design, Education, Organizational Development, and HR) strongly preferred.
