Description:Job Summary:As a Product Marketing Manager you develop and manage product marketing programs to maximize revenues for the sales of NetApp's Products and Services. You develop and implement marketing strategies to respond to changing and /or competitive environments which may include product positioning, pricing strategies, and overall product positioning. A strong understanding of NetApp's Product and Service offerings, relationship management skills, and experience marketing in a high-technology, dynamic environment is crucial to your success. Essential Functions:As a Product Marketing Manager you are part of a dynamic team that delivers value to the NetApp organization and supports sales and revenue generation goals. The team is tasked to:- Develop marketing programs in collaboration with sales teams to meet marketing objectives and revenue targets.- Establish, enhance or distinguish product placement within the competitive arena.- Develop business plans and product positioning in the marketplace including pricing strategies.- Create lead generation programs to support sales growth.- Identify local marketing opportunities to drive awareness off NetApp solutions.- Track general business indicators, including market share, and competitor?s marketing and sales program activities.- Communicate and implement product promotions.- Provide on-going management of the product marketing programs, contracts and agreements.- Identify and maintain relationships with product partners, third party vendors, etc.- Provide mentorship and support to more junior members in the department. - Participate in long-term projects and strategic initiates.Education and Experience:- A minimum of 15+ years of experience is required. - A Bachelor of Arts of Science Degree is required, or equivalent experience.- Demonstrated ability to have completed multiple, extremely complex technical projects.Qualifications:Requirements:- Excellent verbal and written communications skills, including presentation skills.- Excellent relationship building and negotiating skills.- Experience in developing, managing, and executing marketing campaigns.- Experience marketing network storage and security solutions.- Ability to work collaboratively with functional peers across functions.- Strong understanding of storage technologies and competitive offerings in the marketplace. - An excellent understanding how technology products and solutions solve business problems. - Demonstrated experience working with Marketing and Sales organizations.- Prior experience with developing budgets and controlling costs.- A demonstrated ability to manage professional level employees.Responsibility and Interaction:Responsibility: - The tasks this individual is responsible for are critical to the organization's future, have wide implications, and there may be multiple outcomes. - This individual will apply many years of expertise or unique technical/industry knowledge in solving problems that are unique and extremely complex given time, budget and resource constraints. - Demonstrate leadership and vision in determining and driving strategy decisions, process changes, business initiatives, etc. Interaction: - This individual must work effectively with Staff to Executive levels employees within the function, across functions and outside of the organization.- This individual is a recognized expert and exercises wide latitude in determining own objectives and approaches to critical assignments.- Is seen as a leader, or "guru" by others in the function and organization.Salary/Benefits: Salary commensurate with experienceTo learn more about NetApp employee benefits go to: http://www.netapp.com/jobs/benefits.htmlJob Location: USA - California - Sunnyvale, CAJob Number: RUSANAP2126-593939Company URL: http://www.netapp.comCompany Profile:NetApp creates innovative storage and data management solutions that help accelerate business breakthroughs and deliver outstanding cost efficiency.
