Company:  $65M global software engineering and IT services company is seeking a Director of Business Development in the Microsoft Business Unit.

 

The person will be required to work with various customer managers and executives to meet individual and unit goals. Need to build business from the ground up, as well as leverage existing relationships to drive revenues.  Fundamental to success will be strong prospecting skills, an ability to secure appointments with customer leads/managers/directors and quickly understand product group/individual objectives/goals and the ability to propose solutions that would help meet these objectives.

Prior experience working with Microsoft Inc, Microsoft technologies or large/medium sized ISVs would be of immense value. Though an Engineering or Computer Science degree is not required, a technical understanding of the software development lifecycle and Microsoft technologies and processes is required. The ideal candidate will have had experience proposing innovative solutions to the customer that have a mix of offshore and onsite resources.

 

The Director will own a revenue target that would be mutually agreed upon, and will have the ability to credibly position, communicate and defend the company’s uniqueness to customers’ managers. To that end, the ability to work with customers and the technical and delivery teams to derive technical and business requirements, technical and business solutions, and technical and business benefits of offshore outsourcing will be crucial.

 

  As part of the sales pipeline management requirements, accurately forecast annual, quarterly and monthly revenue streams, develop specific plans to ensure revenue growth and provide quarterly results assessments to management.  Specific understanding of outsourcing and offshore software development and testing services. and proficiency citing experiences and success stories at Microsoft will add to credibility.  Ride the crest of the powerful momentum is generating and its strong positioning at Microsoft and put sales and business development career into high gear.
