THE EVERYDAY VIEW The Director of Web Properties supports the ongoing development and maintenance of DivX.com with specific emphasis on the proper positioning of the DivX brand, the effective introduction of new DivX products and services, and continuing education around critical technologies, content and solutions. Specifically, the person who fills this position will be expected to: Develop creative briefs and establish website requirements to meet the business objectives of the organization Establish strategic direction for the website, web infrastructure, and content. Scopes, plans, and prioritizes multiple projects Work with web development to manage web related tasks to completion Support the distribution of pertinent product and brand related information as part of wider consumer marketing efforts Manage requirements for web systems and services that support the company's e-commerce business strategy Improve web-related business processes by collaborating with vendors, colleagues and other internal functional teams Manage the online implementation of business unit initiatives – including product launches, advertising, co-branded affiliate programs, site optimization and other online marketing programs Oversee production costs for web projects, including budgets for copy localization Collaborate with marketing, web development and other stakeholders to provide strategic direction for DivX web properties Advance the overall quality of strategic thinking and design applied technology to web properties from a global perspective Monitor developing web technologies, trends, laws and policies Develop realistic plans to incorporate new ideas and technologies

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Experience with Apache, PHP and MySQLExperience working with Ajax, JavaScript and CSSA solid understanding of source code control and distribution including knowledge of CVS and SVNExperience building Drupal websitesExperience developing web community features and user-generated content functionalityA strong design portfolio with links to examples of work is requiredStrong, professional written and verbal communication skillsFluency in English is required (fluency in other language(s) is a plus)A bachelor's degree in a related field is required (an MBA is a plus)
