Director of Business Development

Spa Finder, Inc. the leading spa media and marketing company, is seeking a Director of Business Development to close online distribution partnerships and large-scale projects that drive revenue for SpaBooker, our next generation hosted reservations and point-of-sale application.  The successful candidate will have substantial knowledge of online business practices and social media and be able to quickly grasp complex business concepts, generate ideas for partnerships, and build relationships based on value to both parties.

 

This position will be a member of the SpaBooker senior management team and will report directly to the Managing Director.

 

Responsibilities:

 

· Manage all inbound Business Development contacts including the prioritization of opportunities.

· Develop, own, and execute the global distribution strategy for SpaBooker

· Oversee market analysis and competitive activity in the reservations and POS industry

· Analyze the resource requirements and financial impact of potential partnerships

· Develop the financial/operating models that will be used to evaluate deals for revenue, profitability, customer and traffic growth.

 

Requirements

 

· 6+ years of substantial experience in an online/internet/e-commerce company with a minimum of 3 years in a similar role

· Extensive deal negotiation and relationship management experience with the ability to structure complex business transactions, including full terms development

· In-depth knowledge of the internet industry: its market leaders, industry trends and “who’s who”, especially within the B2C segment

· Strong time management and prioritization skills with a demonstrated ability to execute against multiple projects and excel in a results-oriented environment

· Superior written and verbal communication skills: must be able to present effectively at the executive level

· Excellent organizational skills with demonstrated ability to lead through reports, presentations and forecasts

· Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree desirable
