Position OverviewThis is an exciting opportunity with a great deal of visibility and responsibility. You will help us design and deliver high quality, commercial software products. The successful candidate will have responsibility for quality assurance of Content Management Products within the Oracle Application Server group. The Director of Quality Assurance will directly manage teams of engineers located at HQ (Redwood Shores), Seattle and Eden Prairie, MN.You will oversee and manage the activities of QA teams that contribute to the overall ECM product suite. Additionally you will cross-functionally work with the Release Executives, Engineering Managers, QA Managers, and Product Marketing Managers to determine the resource requirements for each release and define, track, and manage the master project plan, deliverables and schedule.Key responsibilities include:1 - Continuous Test Automation in a lights out environment2 - Closed loop process and bug triage improvement3 - Functional Testing and Use case driven system level testing improvement Preferred Skills and Experience 1) Technical Domain expertise in the ECM or related product space or a strong grasp of key Enterprise Technologies (Content Management; tools and Application Server technologies)2) Prior responsibilities and leadership experience for quality assurance of a product that was based on Enterprise technologies or for an Application that was built using these key technologies:· Application Development Tools · Application Servers · Web Services and Enterprise Integration Technologies · SOA Integration Technologies · Content Management Technologies 3) Strong background in commercial software development.4) Strong background in Quality Assurance and Testing and Release Integration and Build.5) Ten years plus in commercial software development: Java, J2EE, C++6) 5 years experience plus managing a diverse, global 15-20+ Engineering team.7) Strong project tracking, project management, and data analysis skills including experience in managing large, multi-organizational delivery programs.8) Demonstrated leadership and people management skills in a large-scale software development organization.9) Experience navigating across several hierarchal lines of management.10) Strong presentation and communication skills.11) Proven multi-tasking skills, the experience and ability to generate new, performance- enhancing ideas, and superb task execution skills.12) BS and MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar technical degree/MS in Computer Science preferred.
